Compassionate people around the world witness suffering and poverty but feel powerless to help. They ask themselves: "What else can I do? I've donated all I can afford to give," or "I can't leave my family for years to volunteer where they need me.” Many think the problems are too overwhelming and that there is very little that one person can do to make a difference. Executives Without Borders is here to provide empowering ways for people to get engaged that leverages what they do best and fits within their busy lives.
ExecWB believes that all peace-loving people hope for justice, health, education, and prosperity—for themselves, but even more for others. Often times, people can identify a problem in their business, school, or community. But without adequate resources or problem-solving skills, implementing permanent change is simply out of their reach. With the assistance and guidance of an experienced leader from ExecWB, positive changes become probable.
Our leaders are experts at looking at any problem in its entirety, deconstructing the components, and finding the necessary resources to transform problems into solutions. By designing and utilizing metrics to track the progress of each project, our leaders are able to produce measurable results and carry out the project's success. At ExecWB, our leaders are trained to utilize our database of functional experts who can add specialized expertise and support for projects around the world.
At Executives Without Borders, our goal is the sustainability. Some examples of worldwide issues we focus on are:
- Immunization programs that not only require doctors to administer treatments, but also address the need of a logistics system that can distribute vaccines to the places they're needed, ensuring that the vaccines don't spoil due to lack of refrigeration or lengthy transfers.
- Making sure hospitals are equipped with the proper medical technology including individuals to maintain and service that equipment, training for physicians on the use of technology, and sustainable funding to maintain the quality of service
- Access to safe water and sanitation is a basic human need. We search for low-cost market-driven solutions to meet community needs in a sustainable manner.
ExecWB doesn't strive for single interventions. We strive for sustainable systems that attack the root causes of poverty and strengthen communities from the inside out. Many of these solutions are found by leveraging the experience of business executives or the capabilities of the companies they work for in partnership with the nonprofit community.
Safe water leads to healthier children. Healthier children stay in school and get educated. Health and education improvements create thriving communities and conditions for economic development to occur. Economic development leads to further gains in health and education. As these communities thrive they become less vulnerable which is good for the world. Less spread of disease, less violence, more hope.
