Robert J. Goodwin
Bob Goodwin is Chief Executive Officer of Executives Without Borders. Goodwin was formerly the Chief Operating Officer of International Aid, a healthcare relief and development organization where he implemented programs to provide safe drinking water to families and programs to provide training and medical equipment to hospitals and staff worldwide. Prior to his position at International Aid, he performed the duties of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. He led a four-division department that developed and implemented policy for 700,000 active duty, reserve and civilian personnel and was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Force Management Integration.
In 2005, he served as Deputy Associate Director, Office of Presidential Personnel at the White House.
Prior to the White House, he served in Baghdad as the Chief of Staff and Deputy Senior Adviser rebuilding the Iraqi Ministry of Health, which was the first ministry to transition sovereignty back to the Iraqis. Prior to Iraq, Goodwin was assigned as Director of Humanitarian Affairs for the Sudan Programs Group. He improved access to areas of southern Sudan and co-led technical discussions that helped pave the way for successful peace negotiations. In 2001, while assigned to the U.S. Agency for International Development, he helped plan and implement humanitarian operations in Afghanistan coordinating the delivery of 2 million pounds of relief supplies and 200 tons of high-energy food items. Goodwin also helped to start the Global Development Alliance focused on building public/private partnerships to create synergies between corporate and government investment in humanitarian programs.
Goodwin has extensive experience in over 30 countries. He is a 1994 graduate of the US Air Force Academy and a 2007 graduate of Harvard Business School's General Management Program. He is the recipient of numerous military and civilian awards.
Dr. Sam MacHour
Sam MacHour is currently an executive with Capsugel, a Division of Pfizer. Prior to joining Capsugel, he served as Executive Vice President of Sensyo Life Sciences and leader of its Quality & Compliance business unit. MacHour worked at different senior positions helping Fortune 500 pharmaceutical, biologics, and medical device multinationals in North America, Europe & Japan establish leadership in the areas of development, operations and drug commercialization.
MacHour holds a Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Physics from Concordia University, a post-doctoral degree in Diplomacy & Strategy from the CEDS and is a graduate of Harvard's Business School General Management and the Columbia Senior Executive Programs.
MacHour is Founder & Chairman of the Board of Executives Without Borders. As a volunteer in several Sub-Saharan community projects, he helped raise awareness on how to address poverty, health care and education needs locally and transform local economies into self-sustaining entrepreneurial markets.
MacHour is an active contributor to the World Economic Forum's Global Health Initiative and is appointed Council to the European Commission and a member of its 2015 Health Care Challenge initiative.
Steven F. Layton
Steve Layton serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Endwave's Telecom Business Unit and is responsible for the continued growth of Endwave's telecommunications business. Prior to this, Layton served as Vice President of Sales for Endwave from 2003 to 2005. He joined Endwave in 1998 as Director of Sales with over 20 years of engineering sales experience in the microwave/millimeter wave telecommunications industry.
Prior to Endwave, Layton was the Director of Sales for VertiCom, Inc. from 1995 to 1998 where he was responsible for establishing sales channels and launching products for the SatCOM and terrestrial communications markets. Mr. Layton holds a BS degree in Engineering from the University of Hawaii and a BS degree in Business from the University of Maryland. Layton is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Institute and Harvard General Management Program.
Parag C. Shah
Parag Shah is currently employed with the $6.6 billion Mahindra Group, one of India's largest diversified conglomerates as a Senior Corporate Executive. He works for the Office of the Vice Chairman & Managing Director, and is involved in New Business Development and Strategy for the Group. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive Officer of Officemartindia Ltd., a consulting and trading company within the same Group. Before joining the Mahindra Group, Mr. Shah was Managing Director of Systems Marketing India Pvt. Ltd., a family business with interests in Manufacturing, Investment Banking and Trading.
Shah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology with special electives in Psychology and Manufacturing Technology. He is also a graduate of the General Management Program, Harvard Business School. Shah is associated with various prestigious associations like, The Energy and Resources Institute, Young Leaders Forum, and is an Executive Committee member of American Alumni Association. He also sits on the Board of Sabarkanta Relief Committee and Jayantilal Family Trust.
R Subramaniam Iyer
Subra Iyer, after a 21 year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) of which 10 years was as a partner in its Advisory division in Singapore, became an entrepreneur on 1 October 2009. His career with PwC included being an auditor, an advisor on financial and commercial due diligence, and undertaking restructuring, acting as an insolvency appointee, acting as an expert witness (forensic accountant) and performing several forensic accounting investigations. Iyer is currently Chairman and shareholder of an emerging biotechnology company that manufactures and distributes a product that improves the yield of various crops, is Executive Director of an advisory capital business based out of South India, and continues to act as Expert Witness in Singapore as a forensic accountant.
Iyer is a Director and Treasurer of Executives Without Borders. Iyer holds a degree in Accountancy (Honors) from the National University of Singapore, has completed his Professional Year with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the General Management Program at Harvard Business School. His professional memberships are with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore, Insolvency Practitioners Association of Singapore, Insol International and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Jimmy Park
Jimmy Park is the CIO of Cornucopia Arts, a media company focused on the development of creativity through the fine arts. There he manages financial planning and web development strategy. Prior to Cornucopia Arts, Jimmy spent eight years at Radiant Systems where he managed over 500 e commerce web entities and credit processing for over 1,500 retail locations. At Radiant, he managed over all aspects of the e-commerce division including sales, software development, support and hosting. Under his leadership Parks created consulting business units to provide services such as website usability and search engine optimization and averaged 35% revenue growth over a three year period for his division.
Parks received his Bachelors degree in Philosophy from the University of Florida and his M.B.A. from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. At Crummer, he was the recipient of the John C. Meyer's Award for Leadership and the MBA class president. He is also a graduate of the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Lori Stohs
Lori Stohs is a Global Account Executive for Microsoft. In her role she consults with companies to create technology solutions to meet business needs and strategic plans. Prior to her role at Microsoft, Stohs served as a Principal at Gallup Consulting, a global research-based consultancy firm. In this role, she consulted with organizations worldwide to design and execute business solutions that enhance individual and organizational performance. She specialized in employee and customer engagement, and strengths-based selection, executive coaching, people strategy and developmental solutions.
Stohs has worked with clients in the banking, manufacturing, retail, pharmaceutical, hospitality, service, non profits, and medical instrument industries. Stohs' background also includes marketing, operations and education. She managed the development and delivery of leadership, management, and associate education programs to clients worldwide.
Stohs is the Secretary for the Executives Without Borders board and is involved in various community activities. She is passionate about giving Executive Volunteers an engaging experience in working with nonprofit organizations as well as helping non profits increase their impact across the world. Stohs has received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
